At an Easter table in the spring of 2021, Giannis and Mariangela met for the first time — a shared passion for Greek flavour, and the first seed of what would become Dakry.
Dakry began to take shape — a logo, an e-shop, and a base inside a home storeroom. The first orders arrived, and the dream became real.
An old ground-floor space in Dafni was transformed into 100 m² of offices and warehouse. From here came the first exports to Europe and Asia.
On a trip to Malta, Giannis proposed to Mariangela. A love story that began at a Greek Easter table reached a new chapter overlooking the Mediterranean.
The gift boxes were born — each designed like a small ceremony, a curated Mediterranean experience wrapped with intention.
Orders rose sharply. The space filled with boxes, ribbons and the aromas of the Mediterranean. Late nights became the rhythm of the house.
The Christmas tally told the story: 600 gift boxes delivered to homes and hearts. Dakry had become a brand people trusted and returned to.
Gifting evolved into its own business unit while exports opened new roads across the ocean. Dakry USA LLC was established.
Dakry Gift Boxes became a dedicated business unit, growing over 200%. Gifting earned its own design philosophy and signature — not corporate gifts, but curated experiences that carry Greece with quiet luxury.
In parallel, Dakry strengthened its global presence. Dakry USA LLC was founded and the first container reached America, with more to follow. By the end of 2025, Dakry was present in 22+ countries across three continents.
In 2026, Dakry enters a new phase of maturity.
Its partnerships grow stronger.
